Crime Time: Disorderly Conduct, Retail Thefts and More

A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police reports.

An 18-year-old West Allis man was arrested for disorderly conduct Tuesday after he got into a verbal and physical altercation with his partner at the apartment at 1700 E. River Park Court. Police say there was damage done to some chairs in the apartment lobby, but don’t have estimates yet.

Also in the police reports:

  • Six $300 pictures and two $85 silk plants were stolen Monday from the lobby of the apartment building at 1700 E. River Park Court. There was also $400 in damage after glass was broken out of a rear door. Police do not believe it was related to the Tuesday's incident at the apartment.
  • A 49-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for retail theft Tuesday after police say he walked out , 4145 N. Oakland Ave. with five steaks worth $52.
  • A 27-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for retail theft Monday, after police say she walked out of , 4145 N Oakland Ave., with three bottles of liquor.
  • An $899 blue Toshiba laptop computer in a UPS package was reported stolen from the porch of a home in the 4100 block of North Newhall Street.
  • Police are investigating a death at a home in the 4300 block of North Oakland Avenue on Wednesday. Police aren’t releasing any information at this time.

The above items are from reports from local police departments. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
