Shorewood police are investigating a home burglary on the 4600 block of Ardmore Avenue Friday morning.
The burglary entered the house around 10:45 a.m. and stole a laptop computer, iPad 2, check book, a safe and a jewelery box containing jewelery. The burglar gained entry by prying a rear window open, according to Shorewood police.
Two neighbors witnessed the suspect leaving the home. The neighbors wrote down some identifying information but did not call police. The burglary was reported by the homeowner at 3:40 p.m.
