UPDATE: Shorewood Police Seek Lone Man in Armed Robbery of Pharmacy

Man - described as "very nonchalant" - displays chrome handgun at two pharmacy employees.

A lone armed man robbed Monday afternoon, taking an undisclosed amount of cash and drugs.

Shorewood police responded to the drug store at 1421 E. Capitol Drive at about 1 p.m. after receiving a hold-up alarm at the pharmacy.

Police are searching for a black man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall who fled in a black four-door sedan with no license plates. He initially headed east on Capitol Drive, but police said he may have done a U-turn.

The man, who was wearing, a knit cap, black gloves and a black jacket, displayed a chrome handgun.

"He was very nonchalant. He just walked in and made his demands ... and nonchalantly left," said police Sgt. Charles Vander Schaaf.

Two employees were inside the store when the armed robbery occurred. No one was hurt during the incident, according to police.

Shorewood police requested mutual aid from Whitefish Bay Police during the call.

Police investigators are reviewing videotape of the scene that could lead to more information about the crime.
