Police say four cars were illegally entered last week in Shorewood.

That same night, a resident reported her unlocked car illegally entered while parked in the 3800 block of North Oakland Avenue. The car was rummaged through but nothing was taken.
On Dec. 13, a resident told police she witnessed a man inside her car, going through the center console. She yelled at the man and he fled the area. She told police nothing was taken from the unlocked car in the 4000 block of North Murray Avenue.
And, a car was broken into Dec. 10 and a $28 wallet containing credit cards and a driver’s license stolen while it was parked in the 3800 block of North Prospect Avenue. The owner told police the car was locked but there were no signs of forced entry.
