37 Bottles of Stolen Liquor Were to be Sold for Bail Money, Oshkosh Couple Told Police

The stockpile of stolen liquor was discovered in the suspects' car, after the two attempted to leave Pick 'n Save without paying for more alcohol, police say.

Two Oshkosh people were arrested over the weekend with 37 bottles of stolen liquor stashed in their car, which they told Shorewood police they planned to sell for bail money for a jailed friend.

According to a police report, the suspects, a 40-year-old man and 37-year-old woman, were caught trying to leave Pick ‘n Save, 4145 N. Oakland Ave., on Saturday with several more bottles of alcohol valued at $296.

The two admitted to stealing all of the liquor from different Pick ‘n Save stores on their way down from Oshkosh to the Milwaukee area, police say.

The two were cited for retail theft.
