$3,000 in Jewelry, Electronics Taken in Shorewood Home Burglary

Entry into the home on Frederick Avenue was gained through an unlocked window, police say.

Shorewood police on Friday provided some new details on a daytime burglary that occurred this week in 400 block of Frederick Avenue, however, the suspects in the break-in are still at large.

Deputy Police Chief Kevin Carini said Friday that about $3,000 in goods were taken in the burglary, which took place between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Two laptop computers, some jewelry and an iPad Touch were taken, he said. Entry was gained by cutting the window screen and entering through the unlocked window, Carini added.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the department at (414) 847-2610.
