3 Cars Hit in Break-ins Late Last Week

Nearly $1,400 in property taken in illegal entry to cars on Thursday and Friday.

Three cars were hit in illegal entry to autos late last week.Β 

An unlocked car was reported illegally entered on Thursday while parked in a driveway in the 4100 block of North Murray Avenue. About $1,360 worth of property was taken, including a backpack, laptop, Apple iPhone, voice recorder and computer keyboard.

A car parked in the 1800 block of East Kenmore Place was illegally entered on Friday. The owner told police they were unsure if the car was locked, though there were no signs of forced entry. A list of items stolen from the car wasn’t immediately available from police.

Sometime overnight on Thursday an unlocked car was illegally entered and a $20 walkie-talkie taken. Police say the car was parked in an unlocked garage in the 4500 block of North Newhall Street at the time of the theft.Β
