2 Shorewood Homes Burglarized This Week, Police Say

Both homes were unlocked, including a North Lake Drive house which was burglarized as the resident worked in her backyard.

Two Shorewood homes were burglarized this week including an apartment at 1700 E. River Park Ct.

There, a $400 42-inch television was stolen, according to police. The apartment unit was believed to be unlocked at the time.

On Wednesday, a Shorewood resident was working in her back yard in the 3700 block of North Lake Drive, and entered her home to find drawers open in her bedroom and jewelry gone.

Police say the home was entered through the front door, which was left slightly ajar. Police don’t know the value of the jewelry taken.

There have been 11 burglaries in the village since Sept. 27. Authorities in Whitefish Bay, Fox Point and on the east side of Milwaukee have been experiencing a rash of burglaries too.
