Community Update

I am a long time Shorewood resident. And while it saddens me to see the crime increase in Shorewood the way it has, I am still proud to live here and call it my home. However, I do find it disturbing that it has been almost a week since the last thing was written about this murder. It is the first one in 20 years, and yet, the residents are left in the dark. I realize that there is probably an investigation going on and so the police department is limited in what they can and can not say to the media. However, some acknowledgement to the community that they are investigating and working on solving this crime would be nice. How many different press conference were held dealing with the SWAT team fiasco earlier this month? And yet, we are left in the dark about a murder that occurred?
