Obituary: Longtime Shorewood Resident, Teacher Sarah Disi

Funeral services are being held Wednesday for longtime Shorewood resident Sarah E. Disi, who died July 27 at the age of 70.

Longtime resident of Shorewood. Loving mother of Mona (Chad) their children, Alexis, Blake and Ciara; and Lila (David) Hillman and their children Dagney and Jack Hillman . Dear sister of Alma (the late Robert) Wiringer, Judy (Carl) Balistreri, John (Judith) Appleby and of the late Robert (Josie) Appleby. Further survived by other relatives and good friends.

Sarah had been a longtime dedicated elementary school teacher at Story School and Hawley Road School. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister. Sarah will be deeply missed by her family and all whose lives she touched. Services honoring Sarah’s life will be held on Wednesday, at 10:00 AM, at Lake Park Lutheran Church, corner of Stowell Avenue and Park Place, Milwaukee. Entombment will follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials in Sarah’s name may be made to Lake Park Lutheran Church, 2647 N. Stowell Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53211.
