Obituary: Carol E. Grohmann

Grohmann was longtime resident of Shorewood, and founder of the LeBecFin Cooking School and one of the original owners of Wisconsin Wilderness Foods.

Carol E. Grohmann passed away Friday at the age of 86. 

Grohmann was longtime resident of Shorewood, and founder of the LeBecFin Cooking School and one of the original owners of Wisconsin Wilderness Foods. 

She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking up a storm. She had a true love for her family, she loved gathering everyone together for the holidays and was able to make any day a special occasion. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Loving mother of William C. (Donna) Willmert , Gert E. (Christine) Grohmann and Thomas C. (Cathy) Grohmann. Proud grandmother of Holly, Melissa (Ashkan) Morvari, Philip Willmert, Lucas Grohmann, Erik Grohmann, Elliott (Aileen) Kloss, and Alan and Amber Kloss. Dear sister of Marilyn (James) Scott. Special friend of Jane Hootkin and Lisa Kay. Further survived by 12 great-grandchildren, other relatives and good friends.

The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the Horizon Hospice Staff for their loving care.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Feerick Funeral Home, followed by a service honoring Grohmann’s life at noon. Interment at Union Cemetery will be private. Memorials in Grohmann’s name may be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society, 4500 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, 53208 or Hunger Task Force, 201 S. Hawley Ct., Milwaukee, 53214.
