Welcome to the first annual Plein Air Painting Event of Shorewood, Wisconsin — a community celebration of the arts, brought to you by the volunteer Public Art Committee of the Village of Shorewood, Wisconsin from September 19-21, 2013.
SHOREWOOD PLEIN AIR – 53 professional artists painting outdoors in Shorewood from Thursday, September 19 until Saturday, September 21, 2013, with events on each day, culminating in a sale of over 150 paintings.
There is a 2-Day paint on Thursday and Friday, followed by a Quick Paint on Saturday.

On Thursday, September 19, artists will check in at the Shorewood Village Center (Library Lower Level) from 7-9AM, then paint throughout Shorewood.
Maps and brochures will be available to all in the Village Center throughout the day.

Hubbard Lodge Event: 6-9pm Brats, Beer and Polka Music. Celebrate Shorewood and the Artists at Dinner at the River. Food/beer/wine for sale.

Friday Events: Artists Painting all over Shorewood from dawn til 5pm; Complimentary Breakfast for community at Atwater Park at the Plensa sculpture 7-9am; Block Party at 4500 N Oakland with live music, dance, fashion pop up shop, and art on the Jumbotron 6-9:30pm.
Culminating Saturday Events: Artists Quick Paint 2.5 Hour paint outside til 2:30pm; Collector's Sneak Peek and Sale 10-12 noon at Shorewood Public Library (all welcome interested in purchasing art); Community Gala & Silent Art Auction 6-10pm Shorewood Public Library (free reception and exhibit/sale of all 150 works created over three days).
Awards given to Artists at a Ceremony on Saturday, September 21, 2013 as part of the public Art Sale and Gala from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Shorewood Public Library, 3920 N. Murray Avenue, Shorewood, WI 53211. Silent Auction bidding closes at 9:00 p.m., the event at 10:00 pm. One night only to purchase work! A portion of each sale benefits the Village of Shorewood Public Art Program.
