Legendary Guns, Amazing Selection

Legendary guns of Walther, Hammerli, SIG, Steyr, Pfuff, Feinwerkbau, and others.

Commemorating the 100th anniversary (more or less) of the founding of the US National Rifle Range in Highland Park IL, now followed by an assault weapon ban in that town along with a ban on background checks there for firearms sales, a special exhibition and sale of the precision firearms from the above manfactuers is offered in the back yard of

2453 Sheridan
Zion IL

on July 12 from 10am to 5pm.

Guns on display and for sale will include

Hammerli 120, 150, 160 free pistols,

Hammerli 208, 215, 215 S and 208 S target guns,

Hammerli 212 variable use pistol,

SIG P230 and perhaps 232 in .22s

SIG P240 in .22, .32 and .38,

Walther GSP in .22, .32

Walther OSP in .22s (all versions)

Walther GSP silhoutte pistol,

Steyr Match free pistol

Pfuff Patch free pistol

Feinwerkbau AW93

S&W M41

High Standard (CT) Victor, Olympic (102/103) and a few others,

SAKO TriAce

Most of these guns are 0.2 MOA accuracy, a few like the Steyr are closer to 0.1 MOA.  The lowly S&W 41 and Hi Standard, of course, are no where near that accuracy, but are among the best guns ever made in the USA.

All guns are used, but inspected for mechanics and accuracy.  A few are one of a kind, but most are not.

If possible, safety info for kids (or adults) will be avaialble from police department tutors. All federal tranfer requirements are followed strictly.  No personal sales or transfers, FFL only.  No law enforcement or government discounts.  For a few of the guns long-term loan or discount can be considered for youth firearms groups, for use in those programs only.

More images are available in the Lake Forest and Highland Park Patch event and for sale ads.  The HP Patch for sale section will have info on some of the guns individually as well.  HP Patch in particular has some really funny comments by various people claiming to be from Highland Park, including a Doctor of who knows what (affectionally called Dr SS, because Patch can not print the lighting bolts of the old SS), a lawyer who seems totally unaware of legal ethics and state Bar requirements for attorneys and does not realize what MG stands for in smalll arms, a statistician who has real problems understanding where statistics can be used and in what way, and some simply senile comments.  However, they are a hoot, if you like that type of humor.

Images can NOT be added to this listing later.  If you have questions, they might be answered on the HP or Lake Forest websites, or use the email address on the flyer to reach one of the organizers of this event.  The weapons sold primarily are used for target shooting in the USA, but also are used in police, military, and intelligence work where high accuracy and precision are required.

No additional tables are available at this event.  There is NO admission charge. Children ARE welcome if accompanied by an adult.  The event is NOT posted against firearms, but good judgment in that regard IS required.
