Treat Yourself to Some “Me Time” While Creating a Legacy Letter

Holiday Gift For a Loved One





Sit at Leah’s old oak table, cozy up to a warm

fire and craft a Legacy Letter for a loved one- just in time for Christmas or

Hanukah. Enjoy the fellowship of amazing people while indulging in gourmet

teas, coffees, fresh baked treats and healthy snacks.





Absolutely no writing

experience needed. Friends and family are welcomed to attend.

The Writing Circle is designed to help you

complete your Legacy Letter within a supportive environment with Leah and other

writing circle participants providing the encouragement. The circle is a

special place to polish your personal and family narratives. It is a place for

reflective writing, cultivating self-awareness, healing and gaining fresh

perspectives and insights.

A Legacy Letter Writing Circle provides you

the special opportunity to review and experience on a deeper level, our crazy,

funny, confusing, painful ,as well as beautiful lives. By participating in a

Legacy Letter Writing Circle, you build stronger connections, meaning, and

validation.

Activities include,

but are not limited to:

Introspective writing

in a quiet environment with no distractions.

·       

New content-producing

exercises and prompts to unlock memories.

·       

Assistance in

organizing your material.

·       

Reading or passing

around your document on a voluntary basis with no pressure exerted on you. If

you choose to do this, you could gain helpful, positive feedback.

·       

Culminating in a

Heritage Potluck Celebration, were we all bring a dish from an old family

recipe. (optional) 

Make sure nothing is left

unsaid to loved ones, and important stories and memories are not forgotten.

When: Every Wednesday Night, October 30- November 20, 2013 (Four

Consecutive Wednesdays) from 7:00 – 9:00 PM
