Village to Celebrate Completion of Capitol Drive Construction

The event starts at 6 p.m. Monday at the site of the former Riverbrook Restaurant.

After more than a year of dust, noise and traffic congestion, the East Capitol Drive reconstruction project is complete — and Shorewood is celebrating.

The village will hold its “Capitol Celebration” 6 p.m. Monday at the former Riverbrook Restaurant site.

“It is fitting that we not only celebrate the completion of the construction, but also take the time to pause, recognize what has been accomplished, and appreciate both the utility and beauty of our new street," Village Manager Chris Swartz said.
