Shorewood Unpaid Taxes Top $1 Million

The state database of delinquent taxpayers includes 25 residents and businesses from Shorewood, who owe a combined total of more than $1.2 million. Search our database of people from the North Shore who owe state taxes.

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue publishes an online list of people who owe more than $5,000 in state taxes. The list was last updated Jan. 3.

Shorewood residents and businesses based here owe a collective $1.3 million in unpaid taxes, including income, withholding and sales tax.

Data are just data if not given analysis and context. What information can we glean from either of these databases? Otherwise it's just rabble-rousing.

Patch's lack of reporting is mirrored by its commenters. A far cry from the kind of dialogue a media outlet ought to promote.

Teachers are overpaid for their 10 month a year jobs and some people owe A LOT o'cash to the DOR.
