Shorewood Drama will welcome professional actress Rhea Olivacce-Shabazz to campus on Wednesday, June 5th.
Olivacce-Shabazz is the lead actress in Skylight Theater’s “Porgy and Bess,” and is back in town to perform the show.
During the meet and greet, which will take place during the school’s lunch hour (approximately 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.), Olivacce-Shabazz will speak to students about her experiences and career paths in vocal performance- educationally, theatrically and musically. The public is welcomed and encouraged to attend the session, which will take place in the Studio Theater in the SHS Performing Arts Building.
“This is a great opportunity for out students to learn about a professional career in the entertainment or music industry,” Shorewood Drama Director Joe King said. “We are excited to welcome Rhea to SHS.”
