This One Will Make You Hungry

One of my favorite things to do is eat out. I absolutely love food. So when I heard about a new restaurant opening a few blocks from my house I actually put the opening date on my calendar...yes, I really did. I can’t say I set the calendar alarm for every restaurant opening in town, but this one was very appealing to me. First of all it is a pizzeria - yum! Second, it is a new venture by the owners of Scortino’s Bakery on Brady Street - double yum! My expectations were soaring. The restaurant is called and is located at 2213 E Capitol Drive.   

The fam and I did, in fact make it for dinner on opening night, May 17. From the moment I walked in, I knew it would be a great pizza place. I was not disappointed. Everything was fresh and delish!

I went back the next morning to tell their pictorial story. I will apologize in advance because I know after viewing these shots — you are going to be hungry. While the pizza is by far their staple, Salvatore’s also offers up an impressive menu of appetizers, pasta dishes and delectable desserts. We tried the house appetizer specialty Arancini, the Salvatore Supreme Pizza and the Tiramisu. Next time I am definitely trying the lasagna!
