A Hummingbird in Shorewood

The delicate grace of a Hummingbird is here in Shorewood. Chrissy Rose Photography shows you what this beautiful, little boutique is all about and why it is a perfect fit for Shorewood.

Apparently, "legends" say that Hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy and celebration. The sentiment seems very appropriate for those petite, beautiful creatures. It is also fitting of the newest business in Shorewood. I am talking about the , of course (4415 N. Oakland Ave).

I was blown away by this store. It is a great shop — the kind that helps make a town unique.  It is all local with every artist from the local area. It is green — no, not the color. Most of the works available for sale are creative reuses of old materials. It is all affordable. This is not one of those stores that requires you to be in the highest income bracket to enjoy. While you won’t have to splurge, you will look like you did. So this is also a great place for gifts and to find unique pieces for your home or office.

In my opinion, Shorewood is such a perfect recipient of the love, joy and celebration this Hummingbird carries just as, according to legend, its feathered namesake does.
