What's the Fate of Thirst & Vine in Shorewood?

Owner John Nehring says he's trying to sell his popular North Oakland Avenue wine bar and restaurant before his lease expires Feb. 1.

The future of in Shorewood is up in the air as owner John Nehring focuses on and sales at his local and getting a new wood-fired pizza shop in the Milwaukee Public Market up and running.

The storefront is on the market. Owner John Nehring said he's in the process of selling the local wine bar and restaurant, and he has one interested buyer. Nehring's lease for his storefront at 4330 N. Oakland Ave. expires Feb. 1.

"If I'm not able to sell it, I'm not sure what I'll do with it," he said.Β

The shop remains closed temporarily for renovations, evident from a sign taped to its door.
