School of Rock is making progress toward opening its doors, and plans to hold a grand opening on Oct. 12, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
School of Rock is a nationwide franchise with more than 100 locations. With its new location at 4050 N. Oakland Ave., it will be the only School of Rock franchise in the state.
School of Rock teaches guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards, drums and combines weekly private lessons and group band rehearsals to prepare students to take the stage in front of live audiences in an authentic concert setting, according to the company's website.
