Al Calderone Pizza Opening About A Week Out

The Fazzari family hopes to open its third Milwaukee area pizza restaurant in Shorewood, offering takeout and delivery.

In about seven to 10 days, owner Carmelo Fazzari said he will be ready to open Al Calderone Club in Shorewood.

The pizza restaurant opening at 4475 N. Oakland Ave. will primarily fill takeout orders, but will also offer delivery. There will be a handful of barstools in the front of the restaurant for those interested in just ordering a slice.

Fazzari plans to offer whole wheat and gluten-free options

The restaurant is named for Fazzari's dad, who passed away in September. He opened his first location under the same name in the 1970s near Bartlett Avenue and Bradford Avenue.

“I just look forward to coming back to the eastside and Shorewood area where we started in the 70’s,” Fazzari said in October, when he announced plans to open in Shorewood.
