Shorewood Athletic Season Underway

Girls tennis, boys soccer and the football team will all play their first games this week.

Although the start of the school year is still two weeks away, Shorewood student-athletes are already back at school preparing for the fall sports season. Most sports at Shorewood High School are already underway, with the final sport, boys volleyball, set to begin practice on Aug. 26.

This week, the SHS girls tennis team will compete in its first match Wednesday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s Central in Neenah. On Friday, the team will travel to the Prairie School for a match at 9 a.m.

The boys soccer team will take part in the Eastside Cup at home this weekend, with its first match against Riverside on Friday at 12 p.m. followed by a match against Messmer at 3 p.m. The team will continue play on Saturday afternoon with the final kickoff time dependent upon the outcome of Friday’s games.
