Surf @Water Event Creates Waves of Excitement
Nearly 200 people learned how to surf and watched movies about Great Lakes surfing on Atwater Beach.
A group of surfers called the Great Lakes Surf Collective held a first-of-its kind event Saturday evening that brought surfing to Shorewood. The event, called Surf @Water, featured surf lessons, a bit of surf history and a film festival featuring five Great Lakes surfing films produced in the Midwest. Camp Bar hosted the after party.
