Shorewood Drama Presents 'Lend Me a Tenor' Next Week

Drama students will put on a rendition of the Tony award-winning Nov. 1 through 4 in the Shorewood High School auditorium.

Shorewood High School drama students will bring you the comedy, Lend Me a Tenor, Nov. 1 through 4. Shows start at 7 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Lend Me a Tenor is a Tony award-winning comedy by Ken Ludwig. Set in September 1934, the general manager of the Cleveland Opera Company, Saunders, is preparing for the performance of the famous Tito Morelli.

But alas, through an odd turn of events, Tito turns out to be a no-show, and Saunders gives the part to his assistant, Max. Max succeeds as Morelli, but suddenly the real Morelli shows up, and soon two Titos are running around in costume, along with two women in lingerie that believe they are with the real Tito Morelli.
