St. Robert Middle School Presents The Music Man, Junior
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 12, 13 and 14, St. Robert Middle School students will bring turn-of-the-century, small-town America to life in their production of Meredith Wilson's awarding-winning Broadway show, The Music Man, Junior. Showtime each evening is 7 pm.
Under the guidance of director Elaine Parsons Herro and musical director Elna Hickson, the middle school students will recreate Wilson's story about con man Harold Hill, whose plan to fleece an entertainment-starved Iowa town hits a sour note when he falls for Marian, the town librarian.
The performance culminates months of preparation and practice for dozens of middle school students. In addition to perfecting their onstage performance, students worked hands-on to create costumes, sets and props, and will also handle lighting and sound during the show.
