Anaba Tea Room is pleased to feature “Portraits of Milwaukee,” a photography exhibition by seasoned Milwaukee photographer, John O’Hara. Presenting a focus on rural and urban landscapes, and portraits of people in their neighborhood surroundings, “Portraits of Milwaukee” reflects John’s passion for capturing the beauty, diversity and people of the city he calls home.

With a Fine Art background in Painting and Graphics, John’s photographic skills have been honed from over 30 years of image-making, having transitioned from traditional black and white film and darkroom printmaking to current, high-end digital image capture and processing. Just as many artists throughout history have done before him, John embraces multiple influences, tools and rapidly changing technologies to achieve his artistic concepts. Using these techniques, John creates pieces that explore narrative potential, as well as images that are purely formal studies of composition, texture and color.
