A Union of Collages, Assemblages at Anaba

"Shifting Boundaries" is the gathering of assemblages, collage and printmaking by artist Tori Tasch, on display at Anaba Tea Room Sept. 5 through Nov. 3.

"Shifting Boundaries" is a gathering of collage, printmaking and assemblages by artist Tori Tasch.

Tasch will unveil the art work aimed at merging art, community and social justice during a reception Sept. 5, 5 to 7 p.m., at Anaba Tea Room, 2107 E. Capitol Dr. Happy hour specials and live music by pianist Lynn Roginske will accent the reception.

Tasch resides in Merton, WI, is an art teacher at St. Bruno's Catholic School in Dousman and the Education Coordinator at RedLine, Milwaukee. She is also a mentoring printmaker at RedLine and works in printmaking, papermaking and bookmaking, with an emphasis on transfer process. Her exhibition history has been extensive throughout Wisconsin, and she was recently part of a juried group show in Japan.

She is obsessed with all forms of transfer and layering, and is deeply inspired by women handicrafts created by centuries of anonymous artists. 

"Shifting Boundaries" is on display through Nov. 3.
