Life-size Bronze Statue to Be Unveiled at St. Robert Parish

Bishop Emeritus Richard J. Bishop Sklba will make public and bless the new statue of Saint Robert Of Newminster, the patron saint of the parish, during a special mass.

The celebration of a century of worship in Shorewood continues Dec. 1 when St. Robert unveils a new life-size bronze statue.

Bishop Emeritus Richard J. Bishop Sklba will bless the new statue of Saint Robert Of Newminster, the patron saint of the parish, during a special mass at 4:30 p.m. at St. Robert, 2200 E. Capitol Dr.

St. Robert Pastor Rev. Dennis Dirkx offered the statue project to long-time Shorewood resident, parish member and St. Robert School alumnus John A. Balistreri.

Balistreri is an artist, graphics teacher at Messmer High School and operates a fine art gallery located in Ephraim, Door County. Balistreri’s family has lived in Shorewood and has been part of St. Robert Parish for four generations.
