Find Easter and Passover Services in the Area

Don't fret if you don't have an established place to go for religious holidays, there are churches with lineups for Sunday and before for many denominations.

Holy Week began this week, and for those of the Christian faith, there are services starting Holy Thursday and going through to Easter Sunday.

If you are looking for Easter celebrations in the area, this is where to find them. Even if you haven’t established a regular place of worship, there are many church services in the Milwaukee area where you won’t feel like a stranger, even if you’ve never been. Check with each website for times and features of each service. There are services starting Thursday, with Holy Thursday and the Last Supper, Good Friday services, public schools are also closed on this date, Saturday Easter Vigils and Easty Sunday services.

  • All Saints Church Hall, 4051 N. 25th St. Milwaukee, WI 53209. Friday Vigil and gospel music.
  • Basilica of St. Josaphat, built 1897, one of Milwaukee’s grandest buildings at 2333 S. 6th St., Milwaukee, WI. Easter Sunday mass at 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon.
  • Bay Shore Lutheran, 1200 E. Hampton Rd., Whitefish Bay, WI. 414-332-6436.  Email: bayshoreelca@yahoo.com.   • North Shore Presbyterian Church, 4048 N. Bartlett, Shorewood, WI, 53211. Call at 414.332.8130. 7 a.m. Easter sunrise service at Atwater Park; 8 a.m. breakfast in the parlor; 10:30 a.m. mass Easter celebration service.

  • Plymouth Church United Church of Christ, 2717 E. Hampshire, Milwaukee. Services Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7 p.m., followed by Easter Sunday celebrations that begin with a 7 a.m. sunrise service communion in Lake Park. 8 a.m. Easter breakfast; 9:30 a.m. joyous Easter worship.
