Beat the Heat: Hours Extended at County Pools
With the area under a heat advisory until Friday, officials have extended pools hours encouraging residents to take a dip and stay safe.
With the mercury continuing to hover in the 90s, officials have extended hours at Milwaukee County pools through Friday.
Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele says it’s part of a heat plan activated on Tuesday, which includes the Department of Aging coordinating home visits for elderly residents at risk for heat-related illness and opening cooling centers.
The area is under a heat advisory until Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
