What is a nation and what is the purpose of its activity?

WHAT IS A NATION AND WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF ITS ACTIVITY?

A nation is made of its territory, its people, it physical and social infrastructure, as well as the total activity of this structured entity, operating as family at the most expanded level.

Its product at the present time seems to be shared in terms of income by the smaller family forms of the total nation, which at the same time seems to be distributed by the rules that the nation sets for itself.  I refer to the total surplus revenue attained from this product as the “national dividend.”

The United States, as well as many other countries has failed to appropriately develop and arrange for a system of sharing in the national dividend.

Because we do not operate under this perspective of a nation and its function as I’ve presented it here, the national dividend has been left to freely gravitate toward the greater attractive mass, toward the holders of greater wealth, those already blessed with the greater part of this dividend.

The cost and functions of a nation not funded privately must come from the national dividend.  We have over a number of decades failed to attend to those functions and therefore face what might be considered a deferred maintenance situation and thus have created a massive social debt that we also owe the people of our nation not presently sharing in these dividends.

Nations have devised methods for gaining and shifting around revenues.  This is generally done through a taxing system of those earnings, what is referred to as “taxable incomes.”  Under our national activity system, significant portions of Americans do not have incomes and many have nothing to tax.  We usually refer to these people as unemployed, the unemployable and those in poverty.

We’ve developed all sorts of so-called “welfare programs” to assist the unfortunate people within our society which fall short of the mark.  Our income tax system is not aimed at the appropriate distribution of our national dividend, it seems to have other objectives.

I’ve proposed a system to superimpose our present one, just for beginners and then see how to improve that.  It is simply stated here: that of paying every adult in our nation, at this time about $700 a week.  The revenue is to come from those who have gained from these deferred appropriations, those with incomes of one million dollars and more.

I’ve described this program and should give it a name for identity.   Perhaps the “national wealth dividend program” would appropriately identify it.
