Big Band Sounds to Fill Hubbard Park

Mood Swing Orchestra will play big band music from the '30s and '40s in the last installment of Shorewood's summer concert series.

It's been a fun six weeks, but the free Summer Sounds concert series at Hubbard Park has to come to an end this Wednesday night.

The summer concert series will end on a high note, though, with the Big Band sounds of Mood Swing Orchestra. Enjoy the sound, look and mood of the ’30s and ’40s big bands with this 19-piece ensemble including two female vocalists.

The park opens at 5 p.m. and music starts at 6 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket – there is limited picnic table seating. Hubbard Park Lodge will be selling food and beverages.

Hubbard Park is located along the Milwaukee River at 3565 N. Morris Blvd. (just a few blocks south of Capitol Dr.) The park is handicapped-accessible at the lower level turnaround.
