Wild Space Dance Company presents a new site-specific dance performance&nbsp;on the fourth floor of Milwaukee's former Eagleknit Knitting Mills Building in Walker's Point.
SKIP STITCH breathes new life into the fourth floor of a repurposed 1928 knitting mill, imbuing it with a vibrant tapestry of dance and moving patterns that pay homage to the Eagleknit Building’s rich history. With panoramic views of the Milwaukee skyline, the space offers a captivating blend of heritage and innovation. Inspired by the Eagleknit's manufacturing legacy, dancers weave among pillars, evoking images of intertwining strands and knots. Configurations materialize and unravel, echoing across the expanse, as the intricate interplay of patterns unveils the inherent beauty of form.

On Saturday, May 25th, and Sunday May 26th, Gift of Wings is hosting The Gift of Wings IKEA Family Kite Festival, 37 Years in Veterans Park, a Milwaukee County Park, on Milwaukee's lakefront. The event will begin at 10:00 am, through 6:00 pm, (5 pm Sunday) with the GRAND LAUNCH of 600+ kites at NOON! <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrNgcpp5Mn8" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrNgcpp5Mn8</a>
For the 13th time in Milwaukee, The Fabulous Windjammers precision kite flying team will be performing three times each day during this event. They are the world – renowned professional kite flying team from Detroit. 
The Chicago Fire kite Team will also be flying with all six members for the 23nd straight year. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5J5X2dKmr0" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5J5X2dKmr0</a> 
In addition, Yves Laforest and the Canadian Dream Team from Montreal, Quebec, will be making their 23rd appearance with their 2 large Super Giant Whale kites, and their 120 ft Trilobite kite, and the all new GIANT IKEA Shark kite, a Family Kite Festival Exclusive. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIQHOrtUCrk" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIQHOrtUCrk</a>
Milwaukee's own Mike Delfar and Paul Koepke, all Professional kite flyers, will also be performing. Jean Lemire from Montreal will attempt to fly three dual line stunt kites all at the same time. Free Kite Flying lessons from the Kite Whispererers, Brett Williams and Jim Cosca.
We will also be giving away free kites to the first 100 kids that participate in the Mad City Windows “KIDS MAD DASH". Imagine 100 kids launching their kites all at the same time. LOOK OUT!! Gift of Wings will be selling Kites and food during the event. It’s all new this Spring!!
