Join Patch and Stone Creek Coffee as we do our part to support American soldiers stationed in Afghanistan.
Doing your part is easy and it involves — a free latte.
Starting Tuesday, find an item on this list, like a tube of toothpaste, calling card or football, head to Stone Creek Coffee in Shorewood, 4106 N. Oakland Ave., or Whitefish Bay, 601 E. Silver Spring Dr., and hand it to the baristas. They'll brew you up a Stone Creek latte...for free. And we'll send your donation to a soldier stationed in Afghanistan.
Make sure to get your donation to our "Patch for Patriots" drive in by July 10, when our effort ends.
Patch columnist Sara Conrad is involved with an organization called Adopt A US Soldier. Since mid-April, she has been sending care packages to a soldier is stationed in Afghanistan, who manages more than 1,000 troops.
After hearing that he passes out the contents of the packages to the overwhelming number of soldiers under his command, she knew she needed some help — your help.
Do your part for the troops and be rewarded for your generosity.

More About Stone Creek Coffee
A popular cafe, Stone Creek Coffee is a local chain with a rich history. The attractive space is set up to look like a lodge, and with a collection of exposed beams, a fireplace and quarry stone, it accomplishes just that. Stone Creek roasted its first batch in 1993 and has been making coffee here ever since.
