I haven't seen this much world chaos since the 28th of June 1914.

It'll be interesting to see how this becomes the fault of Bush and "obstructionist"Read MoreRepubl icans. They're really going to have to bend over backward to make that case this time. Thankfully they have a cooperative media that won't challenge whatever they come up with.

Happy 4th!! It was great to see Walker in the MF parade, again. Did you hear about the Obama voterRead Moret hat ran over a kid on the parade route before it started? Terrible.

If I read that article correctly, spending on health care fell. Isn't that what Obamacare wasRead Moresuppos ed to do? Is this post attacking huffington post for their faulty numbers they were given by the BEA? Or is it attacking Obamacare for bringing down the total amount of money spent on healthcare?
Bob McBride July 06, 2014 at 10:21 PM
No.

The ACA (Obamacare) lowing the cost of healthcare? Have major employers announced, that HealthRead MoreInsu rance Premiums are being reduced? Medicare Payroll Tax being Lowered? Wisconsin/federal government spending less for Medicaid on a participant basis?

This is ridiculous. Republicans have been hating gays for decades. Tying them to fence posts andRead Morebe ating them to death, dragging them behind their trucks, then secretly soliciting them in airport bathrooms. All of a sudden you expect republicans to do a complete 180 and treat them like human beings? Yeah. Right.

Bottom Line June 07, 2014 at 03:04 PM
Cable TV is still an optional purchase, last I checked. NPR and PBS are supplemented directly with Read Moretax dollars that they could not survive without. To compare this with private stations that do not receive government handouts is ridiculous. There is no doubt that all entities forward their "agenda" in broadcasting their shows, and the meager support MSNBC receives compared to other like stations speaks for itself. PBS and NPR, forward their "agenda with my tax dollars - and I object to supporting their left leaning programming, and I cannot cancel my "subscription" since it is taken out of my taxes without my approval.
Bottom Line June 07, 2014 at 03:08 PM
Education is another good comparison. All schools forward their "agendas". The privateRead Mores chools, however, operate because people choose to pay them for their service. If their "agenda" is offensive people can stop supporting them. Public education suffers no such reality.

Sure, Cody. Go break some laws. Whatever makes you feel better. The ACA is the law. The only thingRead Moret hat will happen over time is legislative tweaks or administrative changes. The law, as a whole, is legal per the SCOTUS. It will never be fully repealed or defunded. Both sides fully acknowledge that. And i say that as someone who isnt a D or an R. Prior to seeing the post the topic - and her response to it - I emailed her, asking how she came to Read Morebe back on staff. Haven't heard anything back yet. Won't be surprised if I don't. I'd like to know who approached who on it, I guess. As I'm not sure I understand how Hale is deciding where they're going to have editors (part time or otherwise) and where they aren't. I realize this incident is pretty much old news at this point, but it still continues to give off a Read Morevery fishy aroma. I wasn't aware, until my wife read this article in the dead tree version of the paper, that we had diverted the efforts of 40 (yes, 40) detectives from our homicide division for 10 days in order to crack this caper. ::::::: http://www.jsonline.com/news/crime/police-tapped-homicide-detectives-to-find-stradivarius-b99203640z1-245090531.html ::: For all those Milwaukee residents who think the outlying areas don't understand, don't care to address and are unwilling to devote the resources to Milwaukee's urban crime issues, you may wish to question why your own mayor and police chief decided to essentially step away from any ongoing investigations and allow them to grow colder by 10 days in order to address this very, VERY first world problem.
