Wilson Drive, Olive Street Closures during Sewer Improvements

As Shorewood executes its comprehensive plan to revamp its sewer system with summer construction, Wilson Drive will be reduced to one lane and Olive Street closed to through traffic at Wilson.

Shorewood is reducing North Wilson Drive to one lane and closing East Olive Street to through traffic at Wilson as it executes its comprehensive plan to revamp the village's sewer system.

The project, as part of summer sewer upgrades, is scheduled to last for approximately three to four weeks.

Officials have been working on an approach to the aging sewer system after it couldn't handle torrential rainfall in July 2010.

For more information on sewer improvements in the area, visit the village's website.

There was no need to close the alley off of olive street behind the "Road closed to Thru traffic" sign. People who live over there already have their street parking taken and now they have to go around just to get to their buildings. Laziness.
