North Star is #1? Ever since they moved across the street, I've never had a good meal there.

Cow, my thought exactly! Before they moved, they had a very focused menu, great service, low key atmosphere, I loved it! Since they moved, we go there when we want our toddler to be able to run around while we eat.

Yes, North Star in #1. But East Garden and #1 Chinese. They must be joking.

I'd hate to be a restaurant and Shorewood and not be able to crack that Top 10! North Star is ok for what it is, but shouldn't be #1 on any list. Benji's would be my #1 for Shorewood restaurants, Nana near the top as well. How is No.1 Chinese on that list? Is the American Legion even a restaurant, don't they just have a fish fry and frozen pizzas? At least Baker's Square didn't somehow crack the list..

I would put Benji's and Nana at the top of the list. Third would be Anaba followed by Harry's. I think that Three Lions probably deserves a spot in the top 10 as well.

Never eaten at Three Lions, no desire to support that place, I think it's completely out of place where it is and a blight on the neighborhood.

Blight on the neighborhood? I have never known them to be a problem--is there a story that goes along with that?

Cow, as someone who lives close by, it's quite the annoying place. The Village puts no restrictions on what time they can keep their patio open in the summer, or how many people can be standing outside any given time, or what time they can have live music until (with their windows open so the whole neighborhood can hear). They don't have anyone outside, like a bouncer, who might reign in the idiots who frequent the patio until 2am yelling and screaming like they're children, which, judging by the crowd a lot of them probably are. It just doesn't fit in the area, you've got restaurants, upscale apartment homes, regular homes, even the wine bar closes at a respectable hour. I can't tell you how many times we've had to have the SPD come and restore some sort of order after being awoken by drunken idiots on their patio, stumblimg home, and revving engines at all hours.

I live further South, so I never heard of those issues before. I've never been there for any live music, just the soccer games.

Does the Village Pub have similar issues with their outdoor drinking area?

I lived 2 doors down from the Village Pub for over a year, and barely ever heard a peep, whether it was 7pm with a full patio or 2am with everyone clearing out. I think the Pub tends to get a slightly older skewing crowd, who are slightly more respectful. Three Lions is a little piece of Water st. dropped right in the heart of Shorewood, and it sucks.

Maybe the author should actually look at the star ratings and arrange them accordingly instead of just popping them off the list based on nearest to farthest. Looks like Anaba ranks number 1.

Culver's with 4 stars isn't even on the list!

Baker's Square with 2.5 stars would even knock off No 1 Chinese off the list!

Doesn't an author put more than 3 minutes researching an article? It took me 2 minutes to figure it out! Disappointing !!! Another great example of what the media feeds people that is inaccurate.

North Star American Bistro 3.5 of 5 stars
East Garden Chinese Restaurant 3.5 of 5
Anaba Tea Room 4.5 of 5
Benji's Delicatessen & Restaurant 4 of 5
Nana Asian Fusion & Sushi Bar 3 of 5
William Ho's Lobster House 3 of 5
The City Market 4 of 5
No 1 Chinese Restaurant 2 of 5 stars !
American Legion 4 of 5
Harry's Bar & Grill 3.5 of 5

Isn't there an editor that actually checks these things ???

I'd expect more out of a SIS student's school assignment!

Ok, let me get back to the relevant breaking news of who's garage got broken into for the 100th. time. I know more about people's garages than anything else in Shorewood!

Three Lions - 4 of 5 stars
Oak Crest 3 of 5
Vedo's 4 of 5

Can the author make an attempt to correct this article?

I've done all the work for you!
