Sixty-degree weather and rain in December resulted in eight vehicle accidents Monday night in Shorewood.

Some were more severe than others — chiefly a two-car accident near the intersection of East Capitol Drive and North Morris Boulevard, which ended with a SUV rested next to an apartment building with its front end curled around a tree.

Police say two were transported to a local hospital, but there’s no word on their conditions. Police are still gathering the details behind the cause of the accident.
