Six Vehicle Entries Reported Saturday
All of the vehicles entered were in the southwestern area of the village.
Six vehicles were entered Friday night and Saturday morning in the southwestern corner of Shorewood:
- A car was ransacked – but nothing stolen – in the 4200 block of Ardmore Avenue. The incident was reported to police at 9:47 a.m. Saturday.
- Three dollars was stolen from a locked car in the 1400 block of Lake Bluff Boulevard. The incident was reported to police at 11:18 a.m. Saturday.
- A pair of sunglasses and $4 in change was stolen from two unlocked vehicles parked in a driveway in the 4400 block of Woodburn Street between 8:30 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday.
- An iPod was stolen from a car in the 4400 block of Woodburn Street. The incident was reported to police at 2:08 p.m. Saturday.
- A car in the 4400 block of Woodburn Street was entered and ransacked between 9:30 p.m. Friday and 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

Enough is enough! We only have about 1 square mile to patrol. Why can't the police catch the individual/s breaking in? And for the rest of you, LOCK YOUR CAR DOORS!

I think the cops should roust anybody they see who is opening up a car door. They should be able to catch the bad guys that way. Maybe they could also tace the serial numbers of the stolen sunglasses or coins that were stolen too!
