Shorewood rang in the holiday season with its first ever tree lighting Friday night.

The lighting, held on the Cornerstone patio, between North Star American Bistro and Thief Wine, was attended by around 100.

Shorewood High School carolers offered entertainment, and Indulgence Chocolatiers and North Star had holiday treats covered.

The tree was donated by Ideal Property Management, which manages the tree lot near Harry's Bar and Grill. The evening was sponsored by local Allstate agent Andrew McCabe.
