Sheriff Clarke Says County Executive Chris Abele Has 'Penis Envy'

Sparks have been flying for well over a year between Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke and County Executive Chris Abele. But now, Abele has criticized Clarke's stance on guns and that has Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke calling Abele names.

An all-out war has been brewing between Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke and Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele over the budget and Clarke's statements about guns.

Waged via Facebook, emails, and in the media, the battle between the two is anything but quiet. Clarke’s latest barb accused Abele of having “penis envy,” according to a blog on the Journal Sentinel. In the article, Daniel Bice chronicles Clarke’s frustrations.

On the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office Facebook page Clarke has been critical of Abele's intelligence

Abele, on the other hand, acts like the smartest guy in the room. That must be quite a heavy burden to walk through life with. The many people in his cabinet that he has hired, only to turn around and soon fire, necessitates that he never leave the Courthouse to educate and develop himself. He’s smarter than everyone else. Apparently the county executive doesn’t trust his staff like Clarke trusts his.

But Clarke’s disdain for Abele stems from the cuts Abele has made to Clarke’s budget. He again called Abele out on Facebook:

Abele's true colors are revealed in this e-mail. When asked, he continually looks into the camera of the media and tells them that by cutting my budget, laying off deputies and usurping the constitutional authority of the sheriff, that his actions are not personal. Oh really?

While Clarke’s call for Milwaukee County citizens to arm themselves has struck a nerve with liberals and even some in law enforcement, a number pro-gun supporters have backed Clarke on Facebook.

Still, Abele has been mute on Clarke's actions and he wants "civility from all sides," Bice wrote.

Both men were elected. What do you think of how they are acting?

Sherriff Clarke has and will always have my vote!!! He is 100% right on with his comments. No matter wether u agree or disagree Sherriff Clarke is a common sense true American who took an oath to defend the Constitution!!
Sherriff Clarke for President. Abele on the other well he reminds me of the class clown. A guy who is smarter than everyone else yet lacks the most important human requirement........... Common Sense. So it really does not matter how many degrees one has nor where they recieved their education if the lack the basic necessity of life. Common Sense without he would starve if forced to live off the land.

Patriot, it is indeed nice to see WI progressing under Gov. Walker. Good for the leftist public sector monopoly to be deposed after years of failure and corruption.
Illinois is the poster child of that failed form of governing.

I'd say it's perfectly on par with what happens any time you suddenly don't have unlimited money being handed out - lots of fighting, tantrums, finger pointing, and name calling. So much hate for poor little Abele the liberal philanthropist. What happened to the people who voted for him? Certainly there must be some group to which he has kicked back money who will sing his praises.

With county deputies laid off, does that mean that if you get shot to death on county grounds you will have to wait for an extra 10 minutes before someone starts filling out a report about it? Or did a larger budget previously give them the magic power to bodyguard everyone 24/7 and prevent all crime?

Geeze! I hate the idea that Dave Clarke represents Milwaukee in any way. He's a real "nut job." Somebody whopped him with the "crazy" stick and let his power go to his head. He's now gained national notoriety for his rants. I hope the citizens of our area are smart enough to vote him out.

@Patriot, that's me! I'm a reasonably intelligent person who thinks that it doesn't take an assault weapon to protect my home. I also believe that my elected official should think before he sticks his combat boot in his big... mouth. Even the most devote survivalist has to agree Dave Clark has lost all touch with reality. The man is a menace.

@Vicki-Plzzzz share with me your understanding of an assualt weapon? Im sure its what you have learned from watching tv or from a obviously biased media. Let me guess Piers Morgan? Have you handled a firearm let alone shot what you refer to as an assualt weapon? They are semi automatic rifles that fire a single round with the squeeze of the trigger and they happen to have some scary looking furniture attached to them. Otherwise they are no different than any semi automatic rifle that is used for hunting or target shooting both pleasure and competition.
So once again your really not that intelligent!! Its not about home protection as much as it is about the 2nd amendment period.
For self defense against a tyrannical government or foriegn invader Vicki!!! Plzzzzzzzzz educate yourself on the Constitution and the amendments contained within.

Patriot, an assault weapon is an imitation military weapon that, as you say, is semi-automatic, but, because of its appearance, is especially attractive to unbalanced, paranoid military wannabes generally seeing "tyranny" wherever democracy turns out contrary to their desires, and who intentionally distort the Second Amendment into a supposed "right" to stockpile such weapons in preparation for insurrection against the nation. Not that everyone who is attracted to such weapons suffers from such disabilities, since there are reasonable gun owners - and true patriots - who understand the actual limitations of the Second Amendment right and that it does NOT rationally create a right to possess guns in preparation for insurrection.

Sheriff Clarke was brave to make these comments, but how does stating the truth help us? It is obvious that the white community in Milwaukee County has done all that it can to assist the black community. We have given them trillions of dollars of free money and entitlements. We have given them special preferences and high paying government jobs. All of our efforts have horribly failed. We must now begin the task of separating ourselves from them. There is simply no other solution.

Most people with Penis Envy drive a BMW or Audi now days. One of the administrations biggest envy-rs was way back when 1st given Homeland Security post. She said "The biggest terrorist threat to America is returning war Veterans".Anyone in the Army or Marines deployed to a combat zone is well train in the use of the AR-15 single shot, three rnd burst ,full auto or variants there of. Also the Barretta 9mm semi auto, My favorite M249 saw , 240 bravo, M2 .50 cal and all sorts of grenade launchers. The Gov dont want people having access to these weapons because they are very good with them and a majority have contempt for the people in charge in Wash right now. Go to Cabelas some time. You cant even buy a Military style weapon ....at all. Not even the ammo. they are 100% out of all .223/5.56 and 9mm and .45ACP and 7.62 and .357 and even .22. Anyone that lives in the burbs and doesnt have some sort of dependable defense and trained to use it, is a blind idiot that refuses to see the bloom is off the rose and bad things are coming. Anyone that has been brutally raped or had to stand by passively and watch their loved ones get tortured or murdered all want to kill the bastards that did it. Shoot them when they cross the threshold or crawl through the window. Regretting that you shot someones son when they were invading your home is better than regretting that did nothing standing over your families graves. I have great experience in everything written here. So bring it on!

The Sheriff is elected by virtue of belonging to a political party. His positions are consistent with that political party and the NRA. As a public official he is subject to the budget created by the board of supervisors. The County Executive is an elected official that presides over the County and his policies cannot be overturned by the Sheriff. In my view, the Sheriff should not be an elected office based on partisan politics. Both the Sheriff and the Police Chief have law enforcement powers. However, law enforcement is limited to enforcing the law, not to be the Judge, Jury, Lobbyist, Spokesperson and law maker. The Sheriff is just that. The Police Chief by wanting stricter weapon background checks is discussing enforcing the law for the benefit of society. BTW, i never understood the theory that multiple shot weapons are needed to shoot a deer. The deer runs after one shot if not dead on arrival. There is no law against hunting except for seasonal and licensing restrictions for the most part. In a shoot-out firepower wins. why give any person the power to win a shoot-out against the innocent people and the police ? Next it will be mortars, rockets and the return of the Tommy Gun and Gatling Gun. Remember, only the Feds have multi/state jurisdiction and awesome police powers to save lives. Protection against uninvited home invasion is reasonable. Shoot-outs on the streets are not reasonable.

52.2% of homicides in America are committed by blacks; most by black males between the ages of 18 and 49 who comprise about 3% of the population. When 3% of the population is committing about 50% of the violent gun crime, we have an demographic problem not a gun problem.
