Police Report: Woman Arrested for Drunken Driving following Car Accident

Police arrested a 29-year-old Shorewood woman for drunken driving Monday night after she crashed into a parked car in the 4100 block of North Newhall Street.
Officers responded to a report of a car accident at about 6:38 p.m. and said when they arrived and spoke with the woman; she had trouble keeping her footing and slurred her speech.
She failed subsequent on-scene sobriety tests and blew a 0.17 blood alcohol content during a Breathalyzer.
It’s her first offense.

- A 21-year-old Oconto man was transported to the mental health complex Friday following police placing him in handcuffs for attacking his roommate and damaging property. Police say at approximately 10:23 p.m., a roommate phoned them to report the suspect had pushed him into a wall and put him in a chokehold at their residence in the 3900 block of North Cramer Street. Police added the victim’s glasses were broken into two pieces, and the suspect smashed a guitar and damaged a bed frame. In all, damaged totaled $175. The man was arrested for domestic violence and disorderly conduct.
- A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving Sunday morning after police observed him speeding in the 1100 block of East Capitol Drive. Police say during the traffic stop, the man smelled of alcohol and had glassy eyes. He failed field sobriety tests and registered a 0.16 blood alcohol content during a Breathalyzer. It’s the man’s first offense. He was also cited for operating after suspension and speeding.
- A Shorewood woman reported her $500 HTC smartphone stolen, while she was at Three Lions Pub, 4515 N. Oakland Ave. She told police she didn’t have it when she left the bar and later examined her phone records, which showed the phone had been used since it went missing.
