Police Report: Police Continue Investigation Into Armed Robbery

A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police reports.

 

Shorewood police continue to follow up on leads involving the armed robbery that occurred at the Thompson's Serv-U Pharmacy Monday afternoon.

The suspect is a black man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, who is 20 to 30 years old, according to police. 

The man left the store in a dark colored 4-door sedan with no license plates displayed.

Also in the police report:

  • A 37-year-old man was arrested and cited for allegedly stealing $70 worth of meat from Pick n' Save, 4145 N . Oakland Ave., at 8 p.m. Dec. 28. 
  • A credit card and a cell phone were stolen from a home in the 3900 block of North Prospect Avenue at 4:30 a.m. Dec. 31.
  • Police found a 30-year-old man sleeping in his running vehicle in the 1900 block of Lake Bluff Boulevard at 3:30 a.m. Dec. 31. The man told police that he was sleeping in his car because his loud snoring was keeping his girlfriend awake in her apartment.
