Matthew D. Purdy died Saturday at the age of 29.

Purdy was a Shorewood resident. Beloved son of Mary Therese (Michael Eells), and Thomas Purdy (Terry). Loving brother of Ricky (Theresa Olson), Christopher (Erica Hermann) and Norah Joy Purdy. Dear grandson of Anna Mae Purdy and Louis and Jackie Buttice. Uncle of Isabel, Vivienne and Veda Truth. Further survived by his fiancé, Ashley Watts, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and his beloved dog Vixen.

Purdy's family will “Celebrate his Life” on Wednesday Aug. 22 at Northshore Funeral Services Chapel. The family will greet friends there from 3 to 8 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 7 p.m.
