Leticia C. Zimmardi

August 5, 1932 — August 19, 2012

Leticia C. Zimmardi passed away Sunday at the age of 80.

On Sunday, after 46 years of joined happily in matrimony, an unpardonable short illness, without any remorse, stole my beloved wife, Leticia Zimmardi. 

She was born August 5, 1932 in Asuncion, Paraguay. Is survived by her husband, Franco Zimmardi of Shorewood, WI,  brother, Dr. Alfred (Betty) Cartes and sister, Hortensia Gimenez. Her generosity and kindness enriched the lives of many. A proud and loving aunt, she will be truly missed by many nieces, nephews and good friends.

“Leticia was our Tia. She loved all her nieces and nephews so completely that each of us was convinced he/she was the favorite.  She knew when we were sad or having a hard time and her love reassured us we would survive.  At times I thought she was indestructible as she kept on giving. I will remember her with a rose between her teeth trying to make us laugh.  Above all else, Tia was kind.” Rachel

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 23 at Northshore Funeral Services Chapel from 4 to 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday August 24 at 10 a.m. at St. Robert Catholic Church, 2224 E. Capitol Dr.
