Milwaukee Film Festival Debuts Thursday

For the first time ever, the film festival is coming to Fox Bay Cinema and Grill in Whitefish Bay. Read on for schedules, tickets and how to volunteer.

The Milwaukee Film Festival kicks off Thursday, bringing a wide swath of indie and international films to the screens of Fox Bay Cinema & Grill in Whitefish Bay.

Here's the full schedule to the Milwaukee Film Festival. If you don't want to drive to the East Side, here are the films playing at Fox Bay Cinema.

Whitefish Bay filmmaker Laj P. Waghray's documentary Sleepover will play at 4:15 p.m. Oct. 7 at Fox Bay and at 7:45 p.m. Oct. 10 at The Oriental.

To see the creative talents of Milwaukee filmmakers, check out The Milwaukee Show at 7 p.m. Thursday at The Oriental. The Milwaukee Show includes The Vampire Formerly Known as Dracula, which was directed by Nicolet graduate Nathaniel Schardin and partly shot outside Fox Bay Cinema in July.

A number of directors, producers and other industry professionals will appear at the film festival screenings, including those held at Fox Bay Cinema.

The film festival is still seeking volunteers, including at Fox Bay. Click here to stay up-to-date on volunteer opportunities and earn free festival tickets. Tickets for the Milwaukee Film Festival can be purchased at the Fox Bay box office or at the film festival website.
