@Bob McBride...I don't think it is appropriate to attack anyone with absurdity. I did use the term "Teahadists" to indicate a constant flow of vile filth by a few individuals on the right that have continually made a nasty habit of personal attacks, which have little or nothing to do with the discussion. This is something that I would never accuse you and other respected people on the right of doing. We may disagree but we also don't stoop to disrespecting each other.

I don't think conservatives or people on the right are evil or nefarious, and, I won't use language that exudes that kind of hatred. However, I have been continuously assaulted with every kind of negative claim you can think of.

I don't respect people on either side of the aisle that hide behind a nom de plume and spill out vile statements about others that oppose their positions. You and I have covered this before and I think it's important to monitor our sides and call them out when they step across the thin line of civility.

Lyle, c'mon. If you were interested purely in calling them out for lack of civility, you would have stopped at that.

You've got the same problem with Nick, who can't even see the irony behind his most recent article (the one the that mesmerized you) about the "concealed", which is nothing more than a poor attempt on his part to conceal his own beliefs that Paul Ryan and the Republicans have historical counterparts in the Bund and Nazi sympathizers in this country.

If you want to waste your time playing mother hen, that's your own business. but when you make either direct or back-handed excuses for their behavior, you do damage to your own credibility in the process.

Keith - how does Rush Limbaugh do it? Like John F. Kennedy in the pool? Like Bill Clinton in the Oval office on an intern? In the Oval Office? Bill Maher is a personality. Maher says some uncivil things. Actually, he says lots of uncivil things. Ed Schultz is a TV personality (at least to his small audience). He has said some uncivil things.

Lyle - not quite. I do not have to purchase Bill and Mr. Ed. I can find out what they said amazingly free and without charge. Regardless, what they said is wrong. A couple of them even apologized.

@$$andSense...I don't care for the woman and think that she is a waste. I also agree that we should leave the decisions concerning environmental impact to the paid professionals. I don't know what pushed the legislature to try to push this thing through, there must be something that we, the general public, don't know.
