Around 100 packed Three Lions Pub in Shorewood Monday night for a unique evening of activities to motivate grassroots volunteers for the Democratic Senate candidate Rep. Sandy Pasch's campaign.

The night started with a group of supporters holding signs at the intersection of East Capitol Drive and North Oakland Drive, soliciting car horn honks. The group moved to Three Lions Pub, where they recited original limericks, poetry, music about 8th Senate recall election incumbent Sen. Alberta Darling (R-River Hills). Comedians performed jokes about Darling.

Did anyone record portions of this event and post them on YouTube, perchance? I'd love to see some examples of the rapier wit that Sandy yucked it up to last night.

Once again, what passes for intelligent dialogue on this site leaves me unimpressed.

Here's something that might be a little easier for you to comprehend, Jane.

Plus if you want to post more unfounded gossip, I'm sure they're more tolerant of it there.

You're welcome.

Oh Bob, you take it up a notch just when I try to catch up.

Seeing these pictures, my view of Shorewood is solidified: A bunch of aristocrats whining about the wine not being expensive enough to drink and the likes. You liberals love your songs about how life sucks for you. It's all Darling's fault. Have some ribs and move along.

I like the elderly poet lady dressed like a sk8er boi who looks like she's about to perform some unspeakable act on the microphone.

That's not nice. You're making all the skaters look bad.

Good point, Nate. I apologize to all the real sk8ers out there. Most of you don't look like a crazy old hippie.

I heard Sandy was booed loudly at the MF 4th of July parade! Cheers for Darling.

She was booed very loudly it was fun. Sandy and her group saw me pointing out my "Scott Walker is my Hero" shirt. They all were washed out lib types at the back of the parade.

Depends on which part of the parade route you’re referring to. In WFB there were some very anti-Darling groups and, no doubt, ditto for Pasch. Shorewood’s parade was most certainly not a friendly Darling event. I suspect that it’s possible to cherry pick moments from all over the place. Point is, this contest is very close and, who would have guessed, dirty tricks are now being deployed in a last ditch effort to swing a few voters this way or that. I hope Sandy Pasch wins, but if she doesn’t, I hope Darling takes this as a wakeup call to think about public policy outside of her cozy country club crowd world view.

Hey Andrwe, look at all the " nom de plume" and first name only participants on Patch tonite. Looks like Patch did NOT meet your demands last nite to exclude anyone who doesn't meet your standard (using a full name). You called all the! "nom de plums" some not so nice names last nite . Does like like your brand of censorship is too popular out here.

someone's been adding cool aide to the water in shorewood...no doubt some union official pulled some strings or had his goon squad persuade the water dept. employee.

Funny....I honked and flipped them the #1 sign. They were all smiles.....Kinda creeped me out knowing they may have been aroused by that.

You have to remember, those folks are attention deprived. You were just making them feel wanted. Pretty soon they'll go back to their dens until next spring.

You confused them. They weren't sure whether they should tally it on the "HONKS" list or "BIRDS" list.

That event looked like it was crazy fun, do I actually see a couple of them sleeping? The blank stares explain alot though.....
