Shorewood Man Facing Felony Drug Charges after Police Find Cocaine, Pot in Apartment

Police say the man was dealing drugs over the past six to seven months because he was unemployed.

A 28-year-old Shorewood man is facing possible prison time after police found cocaine and marijuana inside his apartment Monday.

Nathaniel Lasko was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of possession with intent to deliver cocaine and one count of possession with intent to deliver THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. If convicted, he faces up to 18 ½ years in prison and $60,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

Police executed a search warrant at Lasko’s apartment in the 1900 block of East Capitol Drive Monday, and found $8,364, two bags of high-grade marijuana and a mirror with suspected cocaine residue on it.

The total amount of marijuana weighed 214 grams and the total amount of cocaine-like substance found weighed 15.4 grams.

Lasko admitted to selling the drugs for the past six or seven months because he lost his job. He told authorities he would buy two pounds of marijuana and three ounces of cocaine at a time.

Lasko was charged and convicted of manufacturing and delivering marijuana in 2005. A court date for Lasko hasn't been set yet, according to online court records.
